Bookmarks worth using
If you are forty books into Discworld, a receipt is not a bookmark. These are the stained glass ones we keep in rotation, sorted by what you read.
Six we would buy again
Across every theme, these are the ones still in use. Most come from Magical Bookmark Co, who sell the same designs on Etsy.
Miniature Magical Library Suncatcher Book Nook
A whole library in a page marker. The one that makes people ask where you got it.
Clever Raven Library Bookmark
Dark academia without the costume. Good for gothic and literary shelves.
Library Staircase Bookmark
Warm gold light. The one to pair with a slow reread.
Grim Reaper Bookmark - Handcrafted Gothic…
For horror, Discworld, and anything with a body count.
Dragon Stained Glass Bookmark
The default epic fantasy pick. Works for most doorstoppers.
Bookmark Protector Sleeve
Boring, and the smartest thing on the list. Buy one per bookmark.
What to look for
Three things matter in a bookmark you use daily. It has to be thin enough not to crack the spine, stiff enough not to curl, and distinctive enough that you do not lose it in a stack. Stained glass acrylic hits all three, which is why it has taken over the bookish gift shelves.
The protector sleeve is the unglamorous one. Acrylic picks up scuffs if it rides loose in a bag, and the sleeve costs a few dollars against replacing a bookmark you liked.
If you want to go down the rabbit hole, there are a few hundred stained glass bookmark designs between that shop and its Etsy storefront.
